The shopping center City Syd is big, so when they have their January sale they need to get the message out to everyone. With a little 3D, HELMET helped getting agency Tibe-T’s idea into orbit.

Kosmorama Trailer ‘08

We made this film to promote our city’s annual film festival. The idea was to put Trondheim in a super hero context, and make a movie trailer out of it.

We made this music video for cave metal band Goat The Head’s song “Darwinian Minions”. The song itself is only 17 seconds, so we decided to make a short film around it. To end with a bang, we stuck 25 kg. of dynamite in a forest swamp lake.

Our idea was to show all the different theaters through history, at the location of the current theater. To accomplish the effect, we wrapped the entire base of the building in greenscreen, and 3d re-modeled the historical theatres so they would fit the same plot.

This is a film we made for hardware store Byggern, about how easy it is to get stuff done when you have the right tools. The film is inspired by the Disney classic “Fantasia”.
To create the effect we first puppeteered all the tools one by one using fishing wire, and then composited together with rough masks.

The music is composed by Ola Kvernberg.

Alien Repair Guy is a sci-fi story about where we come from, and about whose pawns we are – a film about what goes on above our heads. Earth’s control box gets broken. For the alien caretaker, what seems like just another day at work, ends up something completely different.

This is beyond doubt the most spectacular short film in regional history, as well as being the first one fully financed by Midtnorsk Filmsenter. Shooting has been completed and the film is now in extensive post-production. HELMET has both written & directed the short, and we’re now doing all the digital post-production ourselves.

A big thank you goes out to all the amazing people who’ve participated so far.

This is a film we made for Sparebank 1. The film promotes their non-commercial initiatives that support small and big organizations across Norway, as well as their strengths as one of the biggest banks in Norway. The bank gave us a selection of words they wanted to communicate clearly. We motion-tracked these into shots designed to enhance the meaning and interpretation of each word.

Youtube comments can be hilarious, especially when its your own stuff. We recently checked up on our Baking Powder Experiments which now has over 250 000 views. After scrolling through the 427 comments, we’ve picked out some of our favorites:
